Descripció inicial: Història  És un edifici històric, cosa que confereix a l'hotel el seu caràcter únic marcat per la tradició, la qualitat i la modernitat. L'hotel va ser construït el 1912 a l'estil clàssic del Fi de Siècle . Però en aquella època no va ser concebut com un luxós hotel de 5 estrelles, sinó més aviat com un hospici protestant. Setze anys més tard, el 1928, l'hospici es va convertir en hotel. El 1953, l'hotel va passar a les mans de la Cambra Econòmica de Salzburg com a centre de formació d'aprenents per als departaments d'hostaleria i restauració de les universitats dels voltants. Per primera vegada es va aconseguir a Àustria combinar teoria i pràctica mitjançant un anomenat hotel de formació. Les escoles de turisme de Salzburg i el Grand Park Hotel tenen, per tant, una llarga història comuna. Els estudiants de l'escola de turisme de Bad Hofgastein estan considerats un dels millors talents nous i futurs d'Àustria; l'experiència laboral al Grand Park Hotel és de gran importància per a l'èxit de la formació.
